What We Believe

Scripture

We believe that the Holy Bible is the infallible Word of God. We believe that all scripture is given by the inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of god may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

The Oneness

We believe that Jesus Christ is God, and that God and Christ are one as is written in the Word of God. The scriptures tell us that there is one Lord, one faith, and one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all (Ephesians 4:5-6).

The scriptures tell us in Psalm 100:3 “Know ye that the Lord he is God.”

In Philippians 2:11 the scriptures confirm that the Lord’s name is Jesus, “And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.:

Finally in John 17:22, Jesus says “And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one.”

The Plan of Salvation

We believe that eternal salvation is obtained through repentance, and water baptism by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit of God gives the utterance (John 3:5, Acts 2:38)

Sanctification

We believe that upon receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost that the saints are to continue steadfastly in the Apostles’ doctrine to learn how to live a sanctified life that is acceptable and pleasing to God by the scriptures (Acts 2:41-42, Romans 12:1-2).

Communion

We believe in the keeping of the Passover supper (Communion) and foot washing by consuming wine that represents the blood of Christ, and unleavened bread that represents the body of Christ (John 13).

The Resurrection

We believe in the second coming of Christ at which time He will appear in the clouds of glory, and the saints of God will be changed from corruptible to incorruptible and from mortal to immortal (1 Corinthians 15:51-54).

We believe that those which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord (1 Thessalonians 4:17)
